Art isn’t a separate period in a Curio classroom; it is another way of learning. The Integrated Art Book links every art and craft activity to the themes and concepts children are already studying, and moves through the same four steps:

• Enquire — look closely at an object, artwork or idea and ask questions about it.
• Explore — experiment with colours, materials and techniques.
• Establish — practise the skill until it is confident and controlled.
• Express — create an original piece and share the thinking behind it.
